My husband bought a car as a teenager. He was young and just wanted something that looked nice. The car only lasted about a year until it had major engine problems. It would have cost more to fix than the whole car was worth. So we chose to quit making payments and get another reliable car. This was nearly 10 yrs ago. It still shows up on our credit report but no longer damages the score (if that makes any sense) The bank did a "ride off" on it and never came to get it. Now it is just sitting at my mother in law's. What can we do with it? Legally can we sell it or have it towed to the junk yard?

Acer aspire 3680- "No Device" message?

I have an acer aspire 3680 and almost 3/4 of the times that I boot it up my wireless does not connect. About half the time I can simply reset the wireless device on the front of the computer and it will work. The other half of the time when I try that, a message pops up saying "no device" and I cannot connect to ANY network. I have to reboot and then it works ok again. Any ideas?

I have windows xp and have always had problems whenever I use any software to copy videos or record directly to my DVD drive. Should I enable recording drive through my computer each time I am ready to burn? I have to put several blank discs into my DVD drive before the recording program will recognize that I have a disc in the drive although they are all new and the same brand. I also keep getting messages from MCAFEE when I open the DIVX player or the burn program. There is always an unwanted program trying to install error message or the program freezes whether using player or recorder. When I was burning video from my SD card that I imported into the DIVX library I was not able to burn more than one movie file. When I tried to use the same disc to add other movie files it would not let me.

So, at my school, there are two math classes you can go into after geometry: either Algebra 2 (the easy one), or Algebra 2/trig (the hard one). Well the first thing that i see wrong with this is venom must be injected to kill someone. poison on the other hand can be drunk and you would die. if she had a way for the venom to get into her blood system through either a cut or an ulcer or maybe she did bite down to hard on her lip. in that case the venom would kill her in half an hour to an hour. with the exception of hitting an artery where venom is injected really does not effect the time it takes to kill you. but if you do get bitten somewhere on your face or near your heart this will make the venom distribute through your body a lot faster.

I am a 22 year old college student and to me our entire economy seems like one giant ponzi scheme. I know I am young and have much to learn which is why I am bringing this on here in hopes of input from much more experienced people in the field. But to me it just seems that my parents generation and this "american dream" of everyone buying a house since we have credit now was based off of money that never existed and at the expense of mine and future generations. I am currently taking a finance class and I do not agree with the class at all really. To me, these "future values" do not exist in the real world, only on paper, which is a major reason, in my opinion, for much of economic problems. You cannot possible calculate a future value many years in advance and be accurate. On paper the equations make sense, but in reality you cannot account for how the actions of people will impact the economy which is what the entire economy is made of, people. This to me, is why many people lost social security. I just feel like there are MAJOR problems with our economy being a ponzi scheme and also the economy being dependent on oil, but at the same time I feel I may be delusional because if this were entirely true wouldn't there be much more commotion about it? Or is no one doing anything about it? Like I said I am young and have much to learn which is why I would appreciate input from someone who is much more experienced in this field and matter. I have a ongoing issue with my account. The payment was paid in full over a month ago...when I made my last payment I was told by the representative Diana Abbensett that I owe an additional 30 for a NSF charge. I informed her that there was no reason for there to be an NSF charge. There was suppose to be two drafts taken out of my account one on 12/31/10 and 01/14/11. I called soon after the 01/01/11 informing Diana that the draft did not go through on 12/31/11, she informed to give it some time b/c due to the holidays it might be delayed and other customers were having the same issue. On 01/13/11 Diana called me and informed me that the draft did not go through. I informed her that it did not post to my account and I ask her did she have the right information and she stated that it was correct. She proceeded to ask me to make a payment, I paid with the debt car attached to the account. I ask her could I just make the other payment at that time she stated since the other payment had not went through to the account yet, that there was a possibility that it could post to my account correctly. Then I turn around and made the other payment. She informed me that in order to prove that I did not owe the charge she would have to have a copy on my account statement showing that at any time during the time period of the payments that money was available to process both payments. I fax her the documents and she informed me then it would take more time to view the documents. I called her back and she read off my information from the documents and informed me again that she did not know what happen and that everything should be taken care of. I informed her that I was in a hurry because I am trying to move. It wasn't until I called my old apartment complex and the informed me that they were not given any notification stating that the debt has been paid. I called Diana and she told me to get her the fax number as if she was going to give them the information that was Tuesday of this week. I called today to the new apartment complex where I am applying to and they informed me that there is 30 dollars still showing that I owe on my credit. So I called Diana back, so she states that now she is unable to see my faxed documents, I ask her why she stated that she did not know, and that I needed to prove again that money was in my bank account 12/31/11. This upset me because now we are back to square one, I told her that I already sent that information over and why doesn't she have it, she said she didn't know. I asked her to put someone on the phone that did know and that could get to the bottom of this, so she put a gentlemen on the phone I did not catch his name. He proceed to tell me to fax the documents again, then he stated to just pay the 30 dollars, and he stated it was because I closed my bank account and then reopened it. Their website is reflecting that I only paid 610 and I paid 640 and I have a letters from them proving it.

I have been trying to restore my laptop back factory settings, but it won't let me. What's wrong with my TV's DVD player? New TV?

I think in the end, I'm going to get a new TV. Still, I'd like to know how to put up with this till I can get a new one. I have a Polaroid full screen TV (it's a smaller TV) with a built in DVD player. I got it in around March 2007. Worked like a charm. I brought it up with me to college for the summer of 2010. I was there for the summer for in-coming freshmen who wanted extra credits. After the summer semester, we already knew our rooms for the school year so we got to move in a little early. I left the TV there since then. Its been used a lot since I've started college...and it's also acting weird. The buttons on the front of the set don't work anymore. It concerns me that he is having so much difficulty not only finishing school but having serious financial problems. I must have overseen these things before, but now that we are much more serious and talking about a future together, I am weary it will be a long time before he will be able to be financially stable again. I love him and spending time with him, and I know he is a hard worker, but I feel like he is not giving his full effort into his education because even though he has student loans, he has still gave up in classes and recieved F's before. I've talked to him about this, and he says the only reason he really went to college was to get a stable job and because his parents wanted him to. I know he loves automotive, but every time I suggest that would be a fun job or say wouldn't you like doing that?, he gets upset and tells me not to start talking about it. I am receiving $404 a month SSI and $290 for SSDI. I have been told this is the max but I know people that have never worked a day in there life and get more. I had over 30 credit things because of working so that's where the $290 comes in. Your only problem will be the graphics card. It has 512mb, which is bare minimum for many newer games. This means you will be running low settings on your games which isnt fun. Also 3gb ram isnt that great. But ram is cheap. Not sure what country your from but im from the US and I just bought a computer from ibuypower.com. Also try newegg.com or such. Well, if my choice was like that in Italy in 1930 then yeah, Fascism was way better then what they had (or so said my family who lived in Italy during that time). As for personally, why would you want to be a dictator. For one, I could never see myself stripping people of their rights. Two, everyone who doesnt like you wouldnt just oppose you, they would want your head. Third, you would have no one to blame if you screwed up, because you could have a fascist republic, but they are merely puppets, so it all comes back to you.
