What should i do, give a girl i like a birthday present or not?

i already gave her a Christmas present then for valentines i gave her a bag. the bag had a monkey, a card, and a crown i made out of copper wire. i also asked her out that day and her exact words were"i just want to be friends" her birthday is in two weeks and i want to get her something as a last try but i don't want her to think i'm a creep. please don't say follow your heart. we're in high school.
