Im on unemployment and have 2 kids can i still file taxes and get the money for my kids credit ?

The Earned Income Credit is determined by money that is earned. Unemployment (and interest/dividends) is not counted for this credit. The Child Tax Credit should be available, as well as the exemption amount.
